DC to DC Converter Circuit
This DC to Dc Converter circuit is a simple electric circuit which can operate a 1 watt LED from a 12-volt battery. It is a monolithic switching regulator projected to use as a DC to DC converter. The IC MC34063 is used as a buck (Low voltage and current) converter in this circuit. This circuit consists of a temperature compensated orientation, a comparator, a controlled cycle oscillator with a current limiter circuit, a driver and a high current output switch. All these function are contained in an 8 pin IC. The major benefit of the switching regulator in this circuit is that it allows flexibility of the output voltage.
