Huge ratings of horse power motors contains current transformers because these motors requires a huge amount of current.In this scheme three CT's are used to provide the lower current to overload relays.
Explanation
In this circuit the CT are used to provide the current to overload relays because in this circuit a large motor is used and it takes a huge amount of current and over load relays are not be able to operate on heavy currents.The overload relays can operate on lower amount of current only.That is why the ct's are used to lower the current and then provide to the relays that are used for protection purposes.
